The Bonus Round Explained!

The Hyundai A-League Pre-Season Cup this year has had a few changes since last year's edition. One of these new changes is the Bonus Round. What is the Bonus Round? Well it is when each team from each group plays a team from the other group before the knockout round. But it is more than just a crossover round. There are bonus points to win in the Bonus Round with additional points up for grabs. These are:

- 1 bonus point for 2 goals scored by a team,
- 2 bonus points for 3 goals scored by a team
- 3 bonus points for 4 or more goals scored team

These give teams like Melbourne Victory at the bottom of the tables to have a possible chance of making the knockout stages. What do YOU think about the Bonus Round? Do you like the idea? Do you think its fair?
